The New Seine | Les Berges

As we all leave you for the month of August, we conclude our month’s blog posts with an inside look on Paris’ newest development: Les Berges!

photo 4Just opened in time for summer, the entire left bank of the Seine stretching from the Pasarelle de Soferino at Musee d’Orsay all the way to Pont de l’Alma has been transformed into a summer oasis of relaxation, food and drinks and sports activities.

New ways to get moving and exercise this summer include sports and running coaching, pilates and yoga classes, Zumba classes and more! There is plenty to do for kids as well including a huge chalkboard wall for drawing, tons of games spray-painted right into the ground as well as a great playground. For those of you looking for some relaxation, try booking one of the private ZZZ rooms that look out onto the water. And for the hungry folks among you, there are some great dining and drinking spots like the Mozza & Co foodtruck, Omnivore and Rosa Bonheur which will soon have a paniche on the Seine for late night dancing.

Under one of the bridges you can activate the bluetooth setting on your phone and have the loud speakers play your music straight from your phone for you and your friends to enjoy.

photo 1Look out for future events to be held at this wonderful new expansion of Paris in the future. We love how Paris is creating these dynamic new public spaces. If you haven’t already, check out the last project to open, the new Place de la Republique.
