Multi-Dimensional Dining – A New Parisian Trend

After Lockwood opened at the beginning of last year, people couldn’t get enough of the new multi-dimensional space. Coffee shop, lunch, apéro (or ‘aperitivo’ as they call it) and hip cocktail bar all in one! Parisian’s flocked to this new location and it seems to have sparked the opening of two new spots in the 11th arrondissement.

photo 1Recently opened on Rue de la Folie Mericourt, Café Chilango is open for breakfast, lunch and coffee throughout the day serving up coffee from Cafe Lomi on their Marzocco and granola, cakes and sweets. The Mexican team from Candelaria and Mil Amores Tortillas serves up tacos, tostadas, guacamole for lunch and again at night when the cafe transforms into an afterwork heaven with hand crafted cocktails and craft beer.

Further east on Square Gardette, Les Niçois serves up a market-fresh, Niçois-inspired lunch menu for 14 euro including the day’s fresh squeezes juice. Looking to relax on the riviera this weekend? Bring the kids for a super filling and delicious 25 euro brunch menu and send them downstairs with the in-house animateur, Bobo. The kids will sing, draw and play while you relax and dream of sunshine in the light-filled dining room.

photo 2Looking for a load off after a long day? From 7pm onwards, Les Niçois transforms into a tapas bar that will take you straight from the streets of Paris to beach-front Nice with Pastis flowing, great music and delicious small plates to share or devour on your own. Once your tummy is full and the Pastis has warmed your blood, head downstairs to play some pétanque. Now that you know the rules from last week’s blog post, get ready to put on some cool shades and kick some put with other Niçois daydreamers at this convivial and fun spot.
