Have ever crossed the Pont Marie and looked down at the quai des Célistins and wondered what that cool little building on the Seine is all about? Les Nautes is a multi-dimensional restaurant and a top choice to check out this summer: they’ve got inside or terrace dining and the added bonus of takeaway meals on sale at their outdoor container.
First came the container, an awesome spot to grab a beer and some snacks and sit along the river. Last Fall, Les Nautes expanded their cantine on the banks of the Seine to a restaurant offering a full menu of simple and delicious French classics. The clean lines and subtle colors of the decor leave the eye to linger on the exceptional view of the Seine. The ambiance is hip and laid-back and the numerous events and dj sets at the bar spill out onto the quai with an impromptu dance party.
The place is exceptionally great on Sundays when the street turns pedestrian only and you’ve got free reign of the space. It’s also a go-to during the month of August, during Paris Plage when although the restaurant closes the container stays swinging from 9 AM to midnight 7 days a week.1 Quai des Célestins, 4th arrondissement Métro: Pont Marie (line 7), Saint-Paul (Line 1)
