This past Wednesday, we left the office early and headed to an apartment in the 8th arrondissement to check out a new popup cocktail club called The Chamber brought to you by our friend, Forest, from 52 Martinis.
The concept is a membership where when you sign up you get invited to unique and interesting cocktail-based events created exclusively for members of The Chamber. In addition to exclusiveevents, Forest and The Chamber will introduce its members to unusual and/or new products on the market while creating an intimate community of cocktail-minded people.
Members will have access to top quality brands and Forest is working on providing discounts with many of her top goods and services. The Chamber hopes to provide its members with a more personal and convivial socializing experience targeted to a specific demographic of Parisians and expatriates.
In addition to the monthly popups, The Chamber will also be offering master classes for consumers, cocktail brunches in private homes, wine tasting and potentially a wine club in the future. Forest is really looking to provide what members of The Chamber are really interested in. Each popup and event will be in a different location that reflects the theme of that evening’s soiree.
This week’s popup is kicking off the series with a Focus on France Cocktail PopUp. We sipped on champagne cocktails followed by a floral St. Germain Cocktail and Forest gave us some nice hints on where to find this gem of liqueur in Paris. A light and citrus-y gin and tonic followed highlighting a French gin and we ended the night with a whiskey and vermouth cocktail that originated at Harry’s Bar in 1924. Delicious drinks, wonderful group of new people and a beautiful Parisian apartment from Perfectly Paris.
Annual membership for The Chamber is 120 euro and give you access to all events and allow for a +1. Non-members are always welcome to join with an additional admission fee. The Chamber will accept a maximum of 500 members so hurry up and join before its full!
