Here at Savoir Faire Paris, we were thrilled to learn about the new company Cookin’ the World that creates food baskets for brunch, lunch and weekly fruit and vegetable selections. Las weekend, we decided to try one of the Panier Brunches to test their services.
We work some occasional late nights in the personal concierge industry so the thought of waking up on a Saturday or Sunday morning and having a gourmet brunch delivered to your door when you roll out of bed just seems like the perfect dream.
And it was.
I ordered the American-style brunch last Friday night on their website and scheduled the delivery for 10am the following morning. At 9:50am on that Saturday, a very cute, well-dressed frenchman rang my doorbell with a large brown paper bag of breakfast goodies.
Inside the bag we found an array of ingredients along with a A5 card with recipes and a little morning wake-up anecdote. We got to work mixing up the pancake batter and sizzling bacon on the skillet and a few minutes later we sat down and enjoyed a very copious brunch of fluffy pancakes, eggs, excellent bacon, english muffins and half-decent bagels with Philadelphia cream cheese and Skippy peanut butter. Oh, and lets not forget the Lucky Charms cereal to make it an all-American breakfast!
At 38 euro for two people, this breakfast surprise is not easy on the wallet but our loyal readers get a 5 euro discount with the code SAVOIRFAIRE to help make those weekend mornings just that much more fun!
